Observational Essays

This particular section of the site is dedicated to news-based essays, any essays that are borne out of your general observations of the world and your corresponding opinion on the matter. Out of all the sections of this site, this one may be the one that is most prone to inflammatory content, as there is bound to be a whole universe of commentaries that may offend other people. Issues about religion, politics, gender, social orders and the like are pretty much touchy subjects; however, so long as they are tactfully and intelligently discussed in your essay (preferably with references to corroborate your arguments), you can post all of them here. It is advisable that any news item that you are commenting on or are basing your essay on be referenced with a link; you are only allowed one small scanned image of the article otherwise.

Observational essays submitted here also allow tones of sarcasm, provided that they are not too antagonistic. Humorous and entertaining commentaries are to be expected in this section as well, as observational essays open the doors of comedy - pointing out incongruous details that are related to a certain issue are pretty much gold mines of relentless humor, after all. That is not to say that none of the essays posted here can be serious. For the most part, the point of this section is encourage the application of critical thought and expressing those thoughts in a manner that would be clear to as many people as possible.
